Tournament Rules

1. HAVE FUN!
2. Each team must have at least one team member at the captains social.
3. All Federal & Florida Rules and regulations apply.
4. Tournament may be shortened or cancelled due to unsafe weather or water conditions.
5. Each boat must have all required coast guard safety equipment.
6. Contestants may fish anywhere they choose except areas designated “Off Limits” or “No Fishing”, by local, state or federal officials.
7. In the event of equipment failure or emergency, Captain must notify Tournament Director by vhf CH 72 or by phone# issued at captains social.
8. All fishing must cease upon arrival to “measure in” area or 3:30pm sharp.
9. Any boat operator 21 years or under, not accompanied by an adult must supply proof of boater safety course per FL. Statute 327.395
10. The number of Anglers on a boat is a team.
11. In the event of a tie, first team checked in will win.
12. All protests must be submitted in writing with a $1000 cash deposit, within 30 minutes of the last contestant “measure in” to the tournament director. Deposit will be returned if the protest is upheld.
13. Each fish can only be entered into one division. Overall tournament trophy, female angler or junior angler. (15 and Under)
14. Calcutta winners are determined by weight. Tournament fish can not be entered in calcutta.
15. Rules pertaining to hired guide. Guide is not eligible to win or enjoy socials unless he/she pays entry.
16. Rules discussed at captains meeting supercede all written rules.
17 All Calcutta’s not won will be raffled off at Tournament Awards Social.
